The Infinite + Foil
Game-Changing Breakthrough
The Latest Advancement in Wind Foiling
Phantom Windsurfing products have been a game-changer in windfoiling over the last three years, revolutionizing the sport and making the fin obsolete for racing.
We are proud to announce the launch of the Infinite Ltd + foil, which will set a new benchmark for high-performance windsurfing foils in the coming years.
It is a completely new design developed in close collaboration with D3 Applied Technologies and Redondo Studio (America's cup designers) and Nicolas Goyard. PHANTOM is the first company to set a Velocity Prediction Program for windfoiling based on cutting edge technologies previously used exclusively on the America’s Cup. This software is allowing to optimise and trim every parts independently (front wing size and angle, rear wing, fuselage, rig, board...) and see the real influence on speed through the entire wing range. This revolutionary tool provides very accurate datas to then refine the design of our foils with Computerised Fluid Dynamics analysis.
The INFINITE Ltd + foils are high end and super exclusive products, only 50 foils will be produced in 2024
2023 Défi Wind winner / 2023 speed World Champion / 41.91kts on 2sec / 2023 PWA Fuerte winner
Pushing the boundaries of what was yet possible in the Foiling World
The Infinite Foil features:
3 rear wings : 190cm2 for long distance and slalom light wind, 170cm2 for slalom medium wind and 150cm2 for speed.
Optimized connection with the fuselage.
3 fuselages : The fuselages are made of titanium which allow to reduce significantly the section
The frontal area is reduced by 11% and the wetted surface area is reduced by 10% compared to the PWA 100 fuselage.
Fuselages are both 100cm long, one has the front wing moved 10mm backward as compare to the existing 100 EVO, the other has the front wing moved 30mm backward
1 mast : Super thin and narrow 95cm mast with a new connection inspired with our wing foils which is more compact
Reducing the chord allows for a 4% reduction in wetted surface area compared to the R95 PWA mast and an 11% reduction compared to the R100.
6 front wings : 800cm2 for long distance race, 650cm2 Slalom light wind, 560cm2 for Slalom medium, 475cm2 for Slalom medium wind, 410cm2 for Slalom high wind, 360cm2 for speed.
New profile with improved laminarity that allows for a 5% reduction in drag. Optimized dihedral angle at the wing root to locally reduce drag caused by interference with the fuselage.
The optimisation of the front wing/fuselage connection provides a significant reduction in drag.
The new more compact mast/fuselage connection allows the fuselage section to be significantly reduced.
The new shape of the front wings provides more stability and tolerance.

The INFINITE ltd Boards
The new Infinite LTD boards have redefined our approach of thinking and designing wind foiling boards.
This board features a revolutionary hull shape developed by Nicolas Goyard, with a sharp-chined design. The sharp-chined hull design significantly reduces aerodynamic drag, decreases the wetted surface during touch-downs, and allows for a high angle of heel and tight gybes without touching the water surface. The whole board concept has been rethought in order to reduce aerodynamic drag and increases stability in flight.
“After years of researching the entire foiling gear, I've been searching for a way to take another step forward in the foiling world. The goal was to have a breakthrough and enter a new generation of boards, just like in 2020 when everybody started adopting pretty flat deck shapes.
The idea of a non-flat hull shape is not originally mine; I came across it on some windsurfing forums. From there, I designed a first prototype to see how it could work. The idea showed promise as it allowed the rails to be higher above the water while making them thinner, potentially reducing drag.
However, I was skeptical about how the board would perform during touchdowns and, more importantly, for planning and take-off. Then I tried it, and I was in shock. The board was more stable in the air, felt lighter, the jibes were amazing, and the touchdowns were good. Moreover, it took off better than any of my previous designs! My brother, who initially didn't believe me, tried it and confirmed. We were on the right path! Of course, it was a first prototype, and I knew it could be much better.
From there, it was a lengthy 3D research process using simulation tools to find the perfect balance between minimizing aerodynamic drag and maintaining air stability. Air stability was the factor I focused on the most, and it worked even better than expected. We aimed to achieve this without sacrificing planning ability, improving comfort during touchdowns, and making jibing easier. The overall board now has more performance than before, and on top of that, it's easier!
It was a real challenge, but I am so excited about the result! The Infinite 86 even allowed me to break my speed record in wind conditions where I was supposed to use a much smaller board. This proves how much aerodynamic drag has improved and how much easier it is to push on the foil when you feel safe to take a gust and/or make a touchdown at over 40 knots. I can't wait to keep pushing boundaries with these amazing boards!”
